Netgear has recalled their outdoor camera power adapters for possible fire hazards. These power adapters are for the Arlo outdoor cameras. The weatherproof connector on the power adapter can be susceptible to a water leak and cause a short circuit which can melt, overheat and pose a fire hazard. Netgear has reported that this recall affects 7,300 adapters and consumers are urged to immediately stop using the adapters. Consumers should contact the company directly for a full refund for the defective adapters. Seven reports have been filed with the company of cords melting and overheating and one fire was reported. Luckily, no injuries have been reported.
