Officials for the Occupational Health and Safety Administration are investigating an accident that claimed the life of one worker Wednesday morning. The workplace accident occurred at an Acme Industrial Plant in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The employee was a 50-year-old man who became lodged in a machine that is used to cut and shape materials including wood and metal. When authorities arrived at approximately 11:45 a.m., the man had already passed away from the extent of his injuries. Acme and OSHA are conducting a full investigation into the accident.
