In New Jersey shortly after 3 p.m., a driver lost control of her vehicle and slammed into the front of a Trader Joe’s. As the vehicle went through the store it struck an employee and pinned the employee between the vehicle and shopping car racks. The vehicle struck the employee with enough force the employee’s leg was severed.
A registered nurse was present at the scene to help the employee, by tying a tourniquet around the employee’s leg. The employee was air-lifted to a nearby hospital and is planning on undergoing surgery Wednesday night. The driver was an elderly women and it is uncertain on whether she will be facing any charges.
