One woman is fighting for her life in serious condition following an early morning semi truck crash. Furthermore, 19-year-old, Rachael Greller was driving east on the inside lane on Interstate 10 near mile marker 36 when she was struck by a semi truck. The driver of the semi was 64-year-old, Phillip Hibbs, and was also heading east at the time of the accident, but was in the outside lane.
The semi accident happened when Greller’s vehicle drifted to the right and thus crossed over the center lane. As a result, Greller’s car hit the left side of Hibb’s semi truck. After Greller struck the side of the semi, her vehicle then spun around 180 degrees and flipped end over end several times. Now, Greller is in critical condition in a nearby hospital. Although seriously injured, Greller may still face carless driving charges in connection with the semi crash.
