Kraft Heinz, the parent company of Oscar Mayer turkey bacon is recalling over 2 million pounds due to the possibility the product may spoil before the best when used on date marked on the package. In addition, the recall was prompted after consumers complained of spoilage and illnesses after consumption of the bacon.
Now over 2,068, 467 pounds of the bacon that was shipped throughout the U.S., Bahamas, and St. Martin has been recalled. Likewise, the recall has been placed in a class II that means there is a health hazard where adverse health consequences could happen after use of the product.
The recalled bacon was produced between May 21, 2015-August 6, 2015. Furthermore, the recalled bacon also has the establishment number P-9070 inside with the line number RS19 as well.
