Just before 3 p.m., 911 was called for a pedestrian that was hit by a black Volvo. When the police arrived on the scene the pedestrian was found in a critical condition. The pedestrian was seventy-nine years old, and was transported to a nearby hospital. Although the paramedics and hospital provided their best efforts, the pedestrian passed away. The owner of the black Volvo has been identified, but it is unclear whether he was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.
