A 27-year-old man from Mayfield, Kentucky was struck and killed by a vehicle early Thursday morning. According to Graves County Sheriff’s Department, Dennis Ray Rice was standing along Kentucky 131 when a southbound truck hit him. The driver of the truck claims that he did not see Rice due to the fact that it was raining. Philip McLean, the Graves County Coroner, pronounced Rice dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred briefly before sunrise.
