A crash in San Marcos, Texas between a utility truck and school bus has left 10 students injured. In addition, 10 children were transported to a nearby hospital with varying degrees of injures following the accident. Likewise, the crash happened Monday afternoon on Highway 21 near Bogie Drive when the school bus was stopped unloading children. As a result, the truck rear-ended the bus just as some of the children were getting off.
The scene sent shock and horror to those who witnessed it, thinking that some of the children whom were standing may have been killed. Luckily, none of the children were ejected from the bus following the crash when the truck collided with the rear. All 11 of the students on board were from Travis Elementary, and only one child involved was released to his or her parents without injury. The driver of the truck was severely hurt in the accident as well, and was transported to a hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
