Semi accidents are almost always fatal, and that is especially true when it involves a motorcycle. Sadly one person is dead in Madison, Wisconsin after a motorcycle and semi truck collided Sunday morning. The crash happened on County K and Town Hall Road when 33-year-old, Erik Belanger ignored a stop sign at the intersection.
Belanger was headed west on his motorcycle on Town Hall Road, and thus crashed into a semi heading south on County K. Belanger was killed on site. 61-year-old, Allen Swartout was the driver of the semi truck and did not suffer any injuries in the crash. The road was closed for hours after the crash while an investigation took place. It was not listed whether or not Belanger was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
