A chlorine leak at a swimming school sent eleven people to the hospital on Friday morning. The incident occurred at the Goldfish Swim School in Naperville, Illinois. Emergency crews responded at approximately 10:20 a.m. and tended to several people suffering from symptoms including vomiting, nauseas, shortness of breath and chest pain. Ambulances transported nine individuals to the hospital and two children arrived at the emergency room a short time later. An emergency team specializing in hazardous materials was investigating the incident to determine the cause of the leak. The school provides swimming lessons for individuals of all ages, has swim teams, and is open for family swim times and birthday parties. The school cancelled afternoon classes on Friday and the city of Naperville posted a sign stated that the building was closed. Several attempts to contact a representative from the school for a comment went unanswered. Goldfish Swim Schools are located throughout the Chicago area.
