A daycare center in Michigan has been accused of physically abusing children. The parents of 2-year-old William Vannest, Jason and Rebecca, were alarmed to discover that their son was being physically restrained in order for him to take naps. The Vannests had been pleased with the facility, Rainbow Child Care Center, and has no reason to suspect any neglect or abuse. That changed in June when a worker of the facility contacted the Vannests to inform them of the abuse. That worker was able to take a photo of William restrained and sent it to his parents. Jason and Rebecca took that information and contacted authorities. The Department of Health and Human Services conducted an investigation and determined the facility had committed violations, but it is unknown if there was any form of punishment issued. Rainbow Child Care Center released a statement that they would not comment on the incident.
