Train accidents have severe results due to their size, weight, and speed. Any individual that survives a collision with a train is fortunate to be alive. Train accidents typically result in serious injuries and fatalities. While some accidents are caused by drivers attempting to cross train tracks to “beat the train” or because pedestrians are walking on the train tracks, several train accidents are caused by the negligence of the conduction, controllers, or railroad company. Railroad accidents often occur at crossings that lack proper warning devices. All individuals injured in a train accident should receive a full investigation to determine liability.
