A woman is dead after an auto accident that also injured four people. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened in St. Francois County at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Friday. A pickup truck, operated by 45-year-old Mitchell A. Knight, was traveling southbound on Highway 67 when it rear-ended a car near Highway 32. The impact of the collision caused the car to be pushed from the roadway and overturn. The truck also went off the highway and collided with a tree. The passenger of the truck, 42-year-old Jeanette R. Bunn, was killed in the crash. Knight, the driver of the car, and two passengers in the car were all injured and transported to the hospital. The Patrol is investigating the accident.

Losing a loved one is devastating regardless of the circumstances. Tragically, if your loved one was killed in an auto accident, most likely it could have been prevented. The majority of all traffic accidents that occur are due to the negligence of others. While there is no amount of money that could replace your loved one or even ease the pain that you’re experiencing, you may be entitled to compensation for medical bills, funeral expenses, loss of economic support and mental anguish.
