During the early hours of Wednesday, a single-vehicle car accident resulted in the driver suffering injuries. The accident happened around 1 a.m. in South County when a female driver’s vehicle ran off the roadway and collided with a tree. The scene of the accident was near Interstate 270 and Interstate 55 in a Target store parking lot. The damage to the vehicle was severe, and the driver had to be extricated from the car. Fortunately, the woman sustained only minor injuries in the crash. Authorities are investigating the accident and did not release if citations will be issued.
Car accidents happen thousands of times annually and often result in individuals suffering injuries. Fatal accidents are obviously the most traumatic, and when family members learn that their loved one’s death could have been prevented, it is heartbreaking. While there is no amount of money to replace the life of a loved one, families may be entitled to compensation for medical bills, loss of economic support, funeral expenses, and emotional damages, if a negligent party caused the crash. If you have lost a loved one in a car accident, it is imperative that you contact an experienced auto accident attorney to determine if you have a case.
