Two friends were riding their motorcycles in Texas when a vehicle struck one of the motorcycles resulting in the driver and passenger sustaining injuries. The motorcycle accident occurred on Saturday in Granbury when Eric Sanders and his girlfriend were riding their motorcycle along with a friend, on a separate bike. The friend had a helmet with a camera installed which recorded a vehicle suddenly swerving and hitting Sanders vehicle. The impact caused Sanders and his girlfriend to be ejected from the vehicle. The video also shows the friend confronting the driver of the vehicle, and the man repeatedly states that he doesn’t care that he struck the motorcyclist because he had been stung by a wasp. Sanders sustained minor injuries, and his girlfriend remains in the hospital, but her condition is unknown. Authorities are investigating the accident to determine if the driver intentionally struck the motorcycle.
Motorcycle accidents typically have serious results due to the lack of protection offered to the riders. Unlike an enclosed vehicle, motorcycles are open, and the rider can be seriously injured or killed in the event of an accident. Injured individuals will likely incur medical expenses, lost wages if time off work is required for recovery, property damage, and emotional damages. If you have sustained these damages, you may have grounds to recover compensation by filing a motorcycle accident case.
