A moped accident on Sunday afternoon has claimed the life of a man in Michigan. According to authorities, 70-year-old Tim MacDonald was operating his moped in St. Joseph when the accident occurred. MacDonald was traveling on Pearl Street when he attempted to cross several lanes of traffic on Main Street. As he crossed the roadway, he attempted to avoid a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old and lost control of the vehicle. He fell from the moped into the path of the vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The accident is under investigation, and it is unknown if any citations have been issued.
