According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Edward Sandt’s boat crossed in front of the path of another boat. The impact ejected Sandt from the boat, it turned back around and struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Sandt’s brother Francis, 65, was a passenger on the boat and sustained serious injuries, and the other boat's occupant sustained minor injuries.
