Tragically a 38-year-old motorcyclist was run over by a semi truck in National City, California. Furthermore, the fatal motorcycle accident happened on Interstate 5 on Monday morning according to the California Highway Patrol. In addition, the motorcycle rider lost control of his bike just as the lanes of the interstate split near Eighth Street. As a result, the biker was thrown from his motorcycle and then ran over by a semi truck.
The biker was thrown directly into the path of the semi so there was no way the trucker could stop of swerve in time. Sadly the motorcycle rider died instantly after the crash. Thus far the deceased bikers name has not been released, but police say he was likely headed to a nearby naval station in San Diego, and therefore was in the military. The interstate was closed for hours while the scene was cleared.
