A man who was part of the Fort Lauderdale air ambulance company died Thursday in a car crash. In addition, 35-year-old Patrick Brent Gustin’s vehicle left the road on Interstate 100, and hit a tree according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At the time of the crash, Gustin was driving north near Cypress Creek Road, and for unknown reasons swerved right and lost control of his vehicle. He died a short time later at a nearby hospital. Although Gustin was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the car crash, it sadly was not enough to save him from the impact.
