An auto accident on Wednesday evening caused authorities to close lanes of Interstate 55. The accident happened at approximately 6:45 p.m. close to the St. Louis City-County line. According to authorities, the accident included three vehicles near the exit for Weber Road. A driver operating an SUV lost control of the vehicle, collided with a median, and overturned several times. Three lanes were closed for over an hour, and it has not been made clear how the other vehicles were involved in the crash.
