The remains of a Missouri man killed in a barge accident were located last month. A few weeks ago, human remains were discovered in Arkansas in the Mississippi River, and last week an Arkansas medical examiner determined the identity of the remains as Juan Nieves. Juan Nieves was working on a river barge when an unloading accident caused the barge to sink in April 2014. Nieves and a coworker, Nicolas Perez Hernandez, disappeared in the River during the accident. The body of Hernandez was found about a week after the accident, but Nieves was never located. The family of Hernandez filed a wrongful death suit against the operator of the barge and several other companies. They are seeking $75,000 for their damages.
