All-terrain vehicles, ATVs, are used by millions of people around the world. While many view the vehicle strictly for recreational purposes, ATVs are utilized for several needs. Their popularity exists mostly in rural areas and the traffic rules pertaining to their use is minimal. Young drivers are allowed to operate an ATV and several ATV accidents are caused by inexperienced driving. Other causes of ATV accidents include distracted driving, driving under the influence, and vehicle design flaws. Due to the higher center of gravity, ATVs are known to be involved in rollover accidents. However, many rollover accidents may have been prevented if a design flaw was not present. To determine if you have grounds to file a personal injury or wrongful death case, it is important to seek a legal consultation from an experienced accident attorney.
