An Iowa man has died this week after a fatal pedestrian accident last week. Last Wednesday, the man was struck by a vehicle while crossing SW 9th near Christ the King Catholic Church. The driver fled the scene, leaving the man unconscious in the roadway. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he spent the next five days. He died Tuesday morning, April 12. The driver can now be charged which is a felony for failing to render aid in a fatality. The father of three will be remembered by friends and family at Laurel Hill Cemetery this week.
