On April 6, a St. Louis man was involved in a train accident. The 27 year-old-man was struck by the train in downtown St. Louis and then became trapped around 11 PM. The man was unable to escape the elevated tracks near the intersection of South Second Street and Chouteau Avenue. St. Louis Police report that the train driver saw the man standing on the tracks and hit the emergency brakes. The train was unable to come to a complete stop and hit the 27 year-old-man. After the man was rescued from under the track, he was taken to the area hospital where he received medical attention for his injuries. No charges have been filed.
