As many people enjoyed an afternoon at the St. Louis Zoo, a train accident caused one person to suffer minor injuries. According to a press release, the accident happened at approximately 3 p.m. on Friday when two trains crashed into each other. There were around 150 zoo visitors on the trains and they were all examined to ensure they did not suffer any injuries. The conductor of one of the trains was the only person injured and he was taken to the hospital but is believed to have minor injuries. Despite the damage, the accident was not serious and the train was traveling at a speed of only eight miles per hour. The collision resulted in damage to the engine and a train car.
Accidents can occur at any time and at literally any location. Unfortunately, most accidents cause injuries and death and are often preventable. Dog bites, auto accidents, slip and falls, and workplace accidents are all typically caused by negligence. Fortunately, victims could be entitled to compensation for medical bills, lost wages, property damages, funeral costs, and mental anguish if their accident was caused by another party.
