A Missouri man is dead, and two other people were taken to hospitals after a fatal multiple-vehicle crash in east Kansas City. Kansas City Police reports the accident happened late Tuesday evening at 63rd Street and Prospect Avenue. Police say a man that was shot with a gun was trying to drive himself to the hospital. The shooting victim collided with a truck on his way to the hospital, according to witnesses at the scene. A third vehicle was also struck. Police say emergency responders had to rescue the driver of the truck by cutting the vehicle. He was rushed to the hospital and remains in serious condition. The driver of a third vehicle was also taken to a hospital, and his condition remains unknown. The gunshot victim was killed in the accident, and his identity has not been released. It is unclear whether he died as a result of the gunshot wound or the accident.
