A fatal vehicle accident took place in Gardena, California on Sunday around 3:30 in the morning. The accident involved one car- a Ford Probe- and took place when the driver was allegedly speeding, which caused for the vehicle to collide with a guardrail and travel into an embankment, where it caught on fire. Tragically, as a result of the accident, four of the people that were inside of the car passed away at the scene.
Speeding is a top factor involved in many vehicle accidents. When traveling at a quick pace, it is harder for a vehicle to come to a complete stop, thus making the risk of collision much greater. Additionally, traveling at a fast speed can increase the chances of a driver losing control of their vehicle, especially when driving in unsafe road and weather conditions. For example, while traveling on a wet road, it is best that drivers operate their vehicles a lower than legal limit speed, to ensure the safety of themselves and others.
