The driver of an 18-wheeler was driving on Thursday in San Antonio, Texas around 5:00 in the morning when their vehicle struck a median. As a result, the truck’s gas tank exploded and burst into flames. The inhabitants of the truck were taken to receive medical care at a hospital and were released afterward. The crash is still being investigated in order to determine the cause.
Occupants of cars or trucks in crashes have no fault in causing the crash and typically have several options for bringing a claim. Options include a claim against the driver of the car in which they were seated, as well as drivers of any other cars involved in the crash. Also, in most states, a passenger’s personal car insurance for uninsured and underinsured coverage applies to the policyholder even though they are not in their own car. It is important to add uninsured motorist coverage to your car insurance policy.
