A bus accident caused 10 people to suffer injuries on Monday. The accident happened in Blue Springs, Missouri near Kansas City at approximately 11 a.m. The charter bus was en route to a medical testing center in Overland Park from St. Louis. As the bus traveled eastbound on Interstate 70, a tire on the bus blew and the driver pulled the bus onto the shoulder of the roadway. A tractor-trailer then struck the bus tearing the side of the bus completely off the vehicle. Emergency crews transported 10 people that were on the bus to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The extent of their injuries is unknown, and the accident is being investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
