Emergency crews closed a roadway in Houston, Texas for several hours after a two-vehicle auto accident occurred on Friday morning. That accident happened just before the morning rush hour when authorities believe two vehicles were drag racing along the Gulf Freeway. The vehicles collided near the 610 Loop and the impact was so severe that rescue crews had to use the jaws of life to free two individuals in one of the vehicles. They were transported to the hospital and their condition is unknown. The occupants of the other vehicle attempted to flee the scene of the accident on foot but were quickly apprehended by the police. The accident is under investigation.
