A driver is facing felony DUI charges after an auto accident claimed the life of an individual on Monday. The accident happened in Sacramento, California at around 12:02 a.m. when two vehicles collided. According to the Sacramento Police Department, a 27-year-old woman was operating a sedan when she collided with a Hummer near the intersection of Northgate Boulevard and Tenaya Avenue. Both drivers survived the crash with only minor injuries. However, a 28-year-old female passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver demonstrated signs of intoxication and is now facing felony driving under the influence of alcohol charges. The accident is being investigated by police.
