Millions of students are transported to school and home on buses every day. Every parent that has a child riding a bus wants to feel confident that their child will be safe during their commute. Unfortunately, hundreds of school bus accidents occur every year resulting in injuries and death. Bus accidents can have severe results due to the size of the vehicle, as well as the fact that they can transport more individuals than any other vehicle. Distracted driving, fatigued driving, speeding, and DUI are examples of negligent driving that can cause bus accidents. However, there are other factors that can cause bus accidents such as dangerous roadways and mechanical defects.
