According to premises liability laws, a property owner or manager is responsible for maintaining a safe environment free from hazards to ensure the safety and wellbeing of any individual that comes onto the property. Unfortunately, many owners fail to keep their property safe and thousands of people suffer injuries or illnesses each year due to the negligence of owners. Slip and fall accidents, drownings, dog bites, and food poisonings are common examples of incidents that send individuals to the hospital thousands of times a year. Accidents that occur on personal property, apartments, hotels, restaurants, stores and nearly any other property are subject to premises liability claims. You could be entitled to compensation if you were injured on another party’s property.
