A 24-year-old man received a $200,000 settlement after suffering damages in an Illinois auto accident.
The plaintiff, J.W. was rushed to the hospital following the car accident that occurred on January 16, 2015. According to the police report, the defendant, an 89-year-old man was operating a Ford Ranger when he collided head-on with the plaintiff’s Chevrolet Blazer on Illinois Route 130. Tragically, the elderly man died as a result of the crash.
Upon arrival at the hospital, J.W. was treated for multiple lacerations and an evaluation determined that he had suffered fractures to his left and right patellas, his left ulna, left foot and left acetabulum. He underwent surgery, was prescribed medication, and physical therapy was required to recover from the injuries in which he continues to experience pain.
