Late Tuesday night, a single-vehicle car accident in Missouri resulted in the death of one man. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before midnight in Benton when a male driver lost control of his vehicle. Emergency crews were called to the area of Interstate 49 and Mo 58 Highway. Authorities believe the driver lost control, veered off the roadway, down an embankment, overturned and then caught on fire. Tragically, the man was trapped inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead after the flames were extinguished. Authorities are working to determine what caused the accident as well as the identity of the driver.
