Jamie Fox is being called a hero after rescuing a man trapped in his vehicle following a truck crash. On Monday night, 32-year-old Brett Kyle was operating a Toyota Tacoma in Moorpark, California when he crashed the vehicle. According to the California Highway Patrol, Kyle was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the truck, veered off the roadway, into a drainage ditch and overturned multiple times. The truck came to rest on its passenger side in front of Jamie Fox’s home. The vehicle caught on fire and Kyle was trapped inside. Fox sprang into action, cutting Kyle’s seatbelt and pulled him from the vehicle just before the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames. Kyle was taken to the hospital for injuries to his head, face, chest, and neck. The accident is under investigation and Kyle has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Since that year, driver’s have violated that law and thousands of DUI accidents have occurred. Despite a decline in DUI accidents over the past several decades, 28 fatalities continue to occur daily in auto accidents caused by drunk drivers. While drivers will face criminal punishment for committing a DUI offense, they should also be held responsible by contacting a DUI accident attorney.
