A car accident occurred late Saturday morning in Milwaukee involving a stolen Toyota Camry. The driver of the car was speeding when the Camry collided with another vehicle. After crashing with another car, the vehicle became airborne and crashed into a house. While the vehicle was airborne, a sixteen year old was ejected from the vehicle. Tragically, the teen passed away as a result of the accident. The other passengers in the vehicle fled from the accident. No one else involved in the accident was injured. The case is still being investigated by police.
Speeding is extremely dangerous; it is a factor of one out of three fatal vehicle crashes. Drivers who speed are more likely to carry out other risk behaviors while driving, such as failing to stop at traffic lights. It is important that drivers follow traffic laws and regulations to prevent accidents from occurring. Additionally, a way to protect yourself from dangerous drivers is to drive defensively. Always drive alertly and pay close attention to your surroundings so you can react to drivers that drive in a dangerous manner.
