A single-vehicle accident happened in central Illinois on Wednesday claiming the life of a teen driver. At around 1 p.m., 19-year-old Antonia Gomer was operating her vehicle, traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 67 when she lost control and crashed near Manchester-Alsey Road. The vehicle overturned several times before coming to rest off of the roadway. Emergency personnel transported Gomer to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Authorities determine she was not using her cellphone and was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The investigation continues to determine a cause.
