A DUI accident overnight Tuesday resulted in the death of one woman in Las Vegas. Authorities worked for most of the day on Wednesday investigating the accident and removing debris in a busy intersection that was closed for several hours. According to police, a 33-year-old male was speeding in a stolen GMC Yukon running several red lights before slamming into a Nissan Sentra at the intersection of Rainbow Blvd. and Spring Mountain Rd. The impact was severe causing both vehicles to overturn and land just feet away from gas pumps at a gas station. The driver of the GMC was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries and will soon be charged with DUI, as well as other charges for the stolen vehicle and other evidence found inside the SUV. The investigation is ongoing.
