Authorities in New Jersey are continuing to search for the driver responsible for a hit and run accident that occurred on Christmas Day. The accident happened in Teaneck around 6:47 p.m. when 59-year-old pedestrian Steven J. Leitgeb was struck by a vehicle in the intersection of Garrison Avenue and Cedar Lane. The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene of the incident. Leitgeb was killed in the accident and police are urging anyone with information to contact the authorities. Witnesses claim the driver was operating a black SUV, possibly a Honda Pilot that has damages to the front bumper, windshield, and hood.
