A nearly fatal accident involving multiple vehicles and a MetroLink train left many injured, but everyone survived. Yesterday afternoon, a gold car was struck by a truck at 6300 Etzel in University City. According to authorities, the initial accident caused the truck and the car to crash into a MetroLink train. The driver of the truck was ejected from the vehicle and was able to run away before the truck hit the MetroLink. The passengers in the car were also able to escape before the car smashed into the train. According to authorities, five people aboard the train were taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries. Police also say they collected a stolen gun nearby the accident. It is unclear what caused the truck to hit the car. The accident is still under investigation.
