An Oklahoma City man and finalist on "American Idol" is dead after a wrong-way collision on Friday morning. The crash occurred in south Oklahoma City on Interstate 240 shortly after 3:10 a.m. According to authorities, the man was driving his 2015 Honda Accord on 1-240 when a driver of a 2003 GMC pick-up truck was traveling the wrong way and struck the Accord head-on. The 36-year-old man and American Idol Season Two finalist was killed instantly. The 27-year-old wrong way driver was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers, alcohol was detected on the pick-up driver’s breath, and he was taken to jail after he received medical treatment.
