A man is dead after a multiple-vehicle accident involving a postal truck in Chicago’s West Garfield Park neighborhood. According to Chicago police, an SUV ran a red light and struck a postal truck at the 800 block of West Congress at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Saturday. A 31-year-old passenger in the SUV was killed instantly and pronounced deceased at the scene. Both drivers were also injured and were treated at Stroger Hospital. Their condition is currently unknown but their injuries are not life-threatening. The fatal accident is under police scrutiny. It is unknown if alcohol played a role in the crash.
