Racing On Lindbergh Boulevard Turns Deadly In St. Louis

|

Two men face involuntary manslaughter charges after a fatal crash in Frontenac last Friday night. The two men that were involved in the crash are believed to have been racing as well as driving while intoxicated. According to the Frontenac Police Department, a 72-year-old woman was struck in her Toyota SUV by a BMW that was racing a Ford Mustang on Lindbergh Boulevard near the intersection at Garibaldi Place around 9:15 p.m. The SUV then veered out of the lane and was struck a second time by the Mustang. The 72-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation after the accident and died two days later due to internal injuries. Officers evaluated the two other male drivers following the wreck for driving while intoxicated. One of the men was taken to a hospital and treated for a broken arm and a concussion. The other man refused to take a breathalyzer test. Authorities are seeking charges of involuntary manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
