An Indiana man is dead after a fatal motorcyclist accident involving a State Trooper around 9:30 p.m. on Friday night. According to Authorities, a motorcyclist struck an Indiana State Police patrol vehicle as it was making a U-turn on the Indiana Toll Road on Interstate 90 in Portage. The Highland man struck the side the patrol car during the U-turn. According to the accident report, the trooper tried to save the motorcyclist’s life by performing CPR. Sadly, the 28-year-old man died on the way to the nearby Portage Community Hospital. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the fatal accident. The motorcyclist had been driving with a suspended license on the unregistered 2013 BMW S1000RR motorcycle. The accident is still under police investigation. It is unclear why the trooper was making a U-turn on the highway.
