During the early hours on Saturday, a two-vehicle auto accident had tragic results when two individuals were killed. The St. Louis County Authorities reported that a 35-year-old woman was operating a car on Highway 100 in the wrong direction. She collided with an SUV head-on resulting in her death as well as the death of a 72-year-old man. The SUV contained six passengers, four of which were transported to the hospital for injuries they suffered in the crash. Police did not provide any possible cause for the crash. However, it is common that many wrong-way accidents are the result of driving under the influence, fatigued driving, or distracted driving. The crash will be thoroughly investigated.
