oAccording to the Charlotte Police, a little girl was struck by two vehicles while driving her Go-Kart in a tragic traffic accident. The 12-year-old girl was driving the Go-Kart around nine p.m. when she was struck at the intersection of Greene Street and West Sugar Creek. The young girl failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the front of a car. She was ejected from the Go-Kart and then struck by a second vehicle. Police report she was not wearing a safety helmet at the time of the accident. Emergency responders rushed the girl to the hospital where she remains in a coma. Witnesses report see the young girl and her family driving the Go-Kart on Greene Street for weeks. The driver of the vehicle that collided with the girl is cooperating with police. The accident is still under investigation.
