A child was killed in a tragic pedestrian accident in Ohio on Thursday evening. The Columbus Police report the baby was struck by a sports utility vehicle. The child’s 23-year-old father was pushing a stroller carrying the 7-month-old boy when a 31-year-old driver of an SUV veered off the road, struck a mailbox and then hit the father and son. The SUV came to a stop after it crashed into a house. The baby boy was taken to a children's hospital where he later died. The baby's father is in critical condition at another hospital. The SUV driver was not injured and remained at the scene of the crash to cooperating with police. It is unclear what caused the driver to lose control and the accident it still under investigation. It is also unknown if charges will be filed against the driver.
