Earlier this morning, a Missouri woman was sadly killed in a fatal pedestrian accident on the Boone Bridge. According to the St. Charles Police, a 28-year-old woman from O’Fallon got out of her car after it stalled on the bridge in the westbound lane at approximately 9:45 a.m. Another vehicle on the bridge struck and killed her as she was standing by her vehicle. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The westbound lanes of the bridge were closed as police investigated the accident. No charges have been filed. There is no information on the driver who struck the woman.
