A Kentucky police chief has been suspended after a drunk driving auto accident. The Elkhorn City police chief is facing accusations of drunk driving after an auto crash on Sunday night in Pike County. She was not on duty when she was arrested for DUI after the single-vehicle crash. According to Kentucky State Police troopers, an arrest was made after they noticed the chief smelled of alcohol after the crash. The chief admitted to having four to five drinks before the crash, however, she pleaded not guilty to the DUI charges. She has been the Elkhorn City Police Chief for close to six months and has been a police officer for nearly 14 years. She will is suspended without pay. The investigation continues.
